Aqseptence Group (Johnson Screens) is a leading global supplier of specialised products, equipment and system solutions for filtration, separation and water technology for a wide range of different applications and markets. Johnson Screens with its trade mark Vee-Wire® is the leading brand of well screens in the water well market.

We are looking to appoint a dynamic and motivated Business Development Manager to join our Water Well sales team in Australia, based from our Geebung QLD location.

About the role

The primary objective of the role is to build on a long standing successful product line in an established and mature market. We are seeking a candidate that can leverage existing successes, and grow the business by identifying new applications and market opportunities, building key business relationships across Australia.

The Business Development Manager is responsible for:

  • Developing new business opportunities and exceeding sales targets
  • Managing key end user accounts and distributors and reporting market activities
  • Assisting with technical inquires, reviewing designs and specifications with consultants, liaising with agents and on-sellers
  • Work internally with engineering and production staff on new product development.

Success in this position requires a deep understanding of our products, services, and our customer’s needs. It also requires the identification of opportunities for the introduction of additional products and services based on an accurate assessment of customer needs, while developing and implementing sales and marketing plans.

Business Development Manager core competencies and skills are:

  • Experience in Oil & gas / irrigation / water treatment or other Water Well markets
  • Proven track record in business development / external sales
  • Be passionate about B2B sales & excellent with customer relationship management platforms
  • Experience in using SalesForce or other customer-relationship management (CRM) software
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Have the right attitude & be a team player
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions as and when required

Travel within the eastern region and to Western Australia will be required
